Since you left

Since you left

By MohammedAli Yaseen Taha

Night got empty
Inhaling the remaining scent of your hair
from my pillow
touching the remaining warmness of your hands
in my hands

It's been raining for a while
Butterflies have hidden themselves since you left
under heavy shadow of my loneliness
not to get wet under the rain
sometimes from my eyes
and sometimes from god's
and the birds confusingly,
invaded the hearts of unborn prophets
to rescue from the story of nothingness.
Screaming on the tree
cries of a swallow,
not to drown in the ocean of a map
And the salvation looks for you.

It's been a long time since u left
and the sun has forgotten
and even you
that the beautiful dress of the light
is still hanging
on the rope of memories
